I am deeply honoured and grateful for the trust and support shown by electing me as the
President of the Endocrine Society of India (ESI). This is a remarkable opportunity to
lead our esteemed society, and I look forward to working with all of you to further our
collective mission.
My vision for ESI focuses on advancing research in endocrinology, fostering innovative
projects that address the unique challenges faced by our population. Through
collaborative research, we can contribute meaningfully to both national and
international scientific progress in areas like diabetes, thyroid disorders, and metabolic
health.
Community outreach remains a key priority. We must ensure that the advancements in
our field reach every corner of India, especially underserved regions, through health
camps, awareness programs, and early detection initiatives.
Mentoring the next generation of endocrinologists is essential for the continued growth
of our profession. I am committed to establishing structured mentorship programs,
oHering young endocrinologists opportunities to present their work, and encouraging
their involvement in leadership roles.
I am also excited to announce plans for a more vibrant and dynamic ESI website, a
digital hub that will serve as a resource for education, collaboration, and innovation.
This platform will connect members, foster research, and share updates on global
endocrine issues
Finally, we must address the emerging fields of environmental and spiritual
endocrinology. The influence of environmental factors, such as endocrine-disrupting
chemicals, requires urgent attention, while spiritual endocrinology oHers a holistic
approach to managing hormonal health by integrating mindfulness and traditional
practices.
Together, we will take the Endocrine Society of India to new heights, making lasting
contributions to global endocrine health.
